Happy Birthday to me!

I made this shawl as a birthday present for myself. I will wear it to my birthday dinner on Tuesday with the family. We are going to Bayona in New Orleans. It is variegated black, silver and bronze with black chenille weft. Amazingly soft and silky and so beautiful. I'm very proud of it.

A grey tencel shawl with royal blue "shots" throughout. It is gorgeous, light weight, and shimmery. Feels heavenly on the skin.

Everybody needs a red shawl!

It is made using the bumble bee yarn from a couple of scarves ago--this time in red. I doubled the cotton warp so that it "shimmers" a little with the brighter red against a burgandy. Soft, nice weight, yummy!

It measures 14x80, has twisted fringe and sells for $105.

Red Shawl

This shawl is for my friend, Erin's, mother. It's made from a slightly darker and shinier red tencel and a red bamboo. The pattern is called M&O. The pattern creates a very nice, overall, lacy pattern. I think this shawl looks rich. It feels very silky and wonderful, too. I think this would be a wonderful shawl for a party or church.

Tencel Shawl--SOLD

Tencel is a fiber made from tree pulp. It is very soft and feels like silk. It has a lustrous quality as well that makes it very nice for drapy fabrics like shawls or scarves.

This shawl is woven using a shadow weave pattern in cream and green with a medium orange highlight. See the close up for the pattern. It is lightweight and silky and would be perfect for a fall evening. The fringe is twisted for a formal feel.

It measures 13x83 and sells for $60.
