4 Red Towels in Spot Bronson

These towels are woven in a "Spot Bronson" pattern.  It give them dimension and character that I haven't created in my towels before.  I just love it. Spot Bronson is usually reserved for special items like scarves or table runners, but it is also perfect for towels and I'm glad that I tried it out.  I love the rich red color and the feel of them makes you want to wash your hands just so you can dry them!

4 Cotolin Towels

4 towels made using cotolin.  I tried to use up the yarn I had but still have quite a bit left, so there'll be another set soon.  LOVE these towels in all their bright plaid-y-ness.

Red and White Towels

The red and white towels are finally finished.  I don't know why this project seemed to take me forever...at any rate, I think they are worth it as they are probably my favorite towels yet.  I hope Grandma and Laura LOVE them!

a work in progress

I thought this one looked so pretty on the loom that I wanted to share before it's even finished. It will be 4 towels...2 for my Aunt Janice to give as a gift to my grandmother. The other 2? Up for grabs!

Navy Blue Towels for Jeff

These towels were commissioned by my friend Jeff for a gift for his mother. There are 2 dark blue towels, but I only pictured one here for space. Jeff gets the left two and I keep the other two.

7 Towels for My Bathroom

The colors match the mirror in the bathroom. The pattern is called a block twill--so many variations and options one can do with this. I love each and every one of them.

4 towels going to college

I made these 4 towels for the girls to split. I'll also make them 4 wash cloths to split. They are 100% cotton. I think I did a really nice job with the weaving of them because the patterns really came out and the fabric is flat and just about perfect. I'm proud of them.

Towels

These 4 cotton kitchen towels were originally intended for consignment, but my friend Sarah might want them, so maybe they'll stay here in Hattiesburg. They are 100% cotton and made using a twill design that creates a neat plaid look.

4 cotton towels

I think these turned out nice--not as I expected, but I like them. They are VERY soft, and I like the pattern's holes throughout (not sure if you can see them in the picture...try clicking on it and seeing a close-up). They are woven in green, natural and gold yarns with a rust accent. These are a house-warming gift for my friend Jeff.

4 Towels for Tony

Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas and thanks for being my guinea pig!

These are 4, 100% cotton towels woven in a diamond twill pattern. Each towel is different. The experimental part of these towels was that I used a special yarn called "taffy" that is "slubbed" which means it has thick and thin portions to it. I did not find the effect to really be worth the cost of the yarn, but Tony will have to tell me whether it "makes" the towels for him.

These are really pretty. The colors are great and are, in my opinion, perfect "Tony" colors! Enjoy!

Kitchen Towels for Auntie J

These are made from Cottolin which is 60% cotton and 40% linen. I don't know how they did it but they took only the good properties of each to create a wonderful fiber that makes amazing table linens. I love these towels (these particularly but also the ones I have made from cottolin). It is more expensive than cotton, by quite a bit, and I have yet to decide if the extra cost is worth it...some days I do some days I don't. But these towels convince me that maybe it is!

Happy Birthday Mom!

100% cotton towels in blue, green and white. They are really soft and wonderful and the pattern, I think, is very pretty. Mom said she's been showing them off to her friends already. Happy birthday Mama!

Red, White and Beige Towels

These are a gift for my friends the Sissons. They are 100% cotton, woven in a twill and plain weave combination. The colored stripes are plain weave. The combination makes for an interesting surface because the plain weave sinks in whereas the twill areas puff up, creating dimention.

I really love this design and can see how beautiful it would be in several different colors...you may see some more that look quite similar.
